Adult Psychiatrist

Available in person and online

I am a board certified adult psychiatrist with over twenty years of clinical experience practicing in Queens. I completed my medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Brookdale Hospital, followed by a fellowship at Long Island Jewish Hospital. I worked at Jamaica Hospital for over 25 years, including 20 years as the chief of inpatient psychiatry.

I treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and OCD. I believe that every individual is unique and deserves an individualized treatment plan tailored to their specific needs and goals.

My approach emphasizes collaboration and coordination of care with primary care physicians. I enjoy working closely with therapists to ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive and effective treatment possible. When medication is indicated, I aim to use the lowest effective dose while always striving for a 100% recovery.

I strive to provide a comfortable, empathetic, and non judgmental environment where patients feel safe discussing any concerns. I understand that seeking psychiatric care takes courage, and my foremost goal is to create a welcoming, neutral, and supportive space.

I particularly enjoy working with young adults, as they often face complex challenges related to school, work, relationships, and life transitions. Our practice offers evening hours, and we are available around the clock for emergencies to ensure continuity of care and support when it is needed most.
